I. Breaker Chisel Selection Guide
1. Straight chisel: Suitable for excavation and ditching of various soft and neutral stratified rocks.
2. Cross chisel: Ideal for breaking fine-grained, neutral concrete and soft non-stratified rocks.
3. Flat chisel: Used for crushing medium-hard stones or broken small stones to reduce their size further.
II. Breaker Chisel Replacement
1. First remove the retaining pin and chisel pin. When reinstalling, align the chisel properly and insert the chisel pin.
2. Reinstall the chisel in the reverse order of disassembly, and first check if all parts are worn or cracked.
- If the chisel is deformed, grind and repair it first, apply lubricating oil to the chisel pin and the movable parts of the chisel, then install the chisel.
- Severe deformation of the chisel pin will cause difficulties in chisel replacement, so inspect it every 100-150 working hours!
III. Breaker Chisel Alignment
The chisel should be in the same direction as the boom arm, and the chisel should be as perpendicular as possible to the rock surface of the working area. If the chisel is not perpendicular to the rock surface, it may slip during operation. Before crushing, fully adjust the chisel to a stable position, then select the impact point on the rock for impact operation.

IV. Operational Precautions
1. Appropriate downward force can improve the efficiency of the hydraulic breaker.
2. Adjust the position of the hydraulic breaker – if the rock cannot be broken by the impact, move to a new working position.
3. Do not perform continuous crushing at the same position. Prolonged operation at one spot will cause the chisel temperature to rise, reduce its hardness, and make the lower end of the chisel curl upwards, thus lowering work efficiency.
4. Do not use the chisel as a lever.
5. Operation in water is prohibited if the equipment is not specially designed for underwater use.
6. Before leaving the equipment, lower the boom arm and confirm that the equipment is in a safe state.
