The Briccelle tunnel in the Roman-Naples section of Italy is 1,033 meters long, 12 meters high, 13 meters wide and 135 square meters wide. All the tunneling work was completed with hydraulic breakers. The excavation was carried out in two steps, starting with the upper part, which was about 9 meters high and had a section of 100 square meters, using two large hydraulic breakers, one S on a Fiat Hitachi 400 excavator and the other on a Fita Hitachi 300 excavator. Then dig the lower part, about 3 meters high, with an E68 mounted on a PM1834 excavator. Relying on three hydraulic breakers to push at a speed of 6 meters per day.
Hydraulic breakers were installed on German ITC312H4 tunnel excavators and loaders at the exit of the Lion Rock Tunnel, one of the eight key control projects of the Xikang Railway in China, and at the entrance of the level track of the Qinling Tunnel Line II, to break down collapsed rocks and stones larger than the size of the shuttle slot (900mm × 600mm wide), etc. As it was a non-blasting operation, the impact on the surrounding rock was reduced and further collapse of the surrounding rock was avoided, achieving good results.
Limestone extraction
A hydraulic breaker is installed on a JCB JS450 LL excavator at the Tallinn limestone plant on the outskirts of the Estonian capital for crushing limestone, with an average of 40m3 of limestone mined per hour.

For this reason, the contractor used a G100 hydraulic breaker attached to the excavator for crushing.
China Railway No.5 Engineering Group Electromechanical Equipment Industry Corporation equipped the EX420 excavator with a hydraulic breaker for earthwork construction on the 12th section of the Beijing-Shenyang Expressway in Baoshan (Baodi - Shanhaiguan), conveniently solving problems in construction areas where drilling RIGS could not reach and where temporary crushing was needed, achieving good results.
Demolish the abandoned riverbank underwater
Near Saarbrucken, there is an abandoned Luithenthal embankment on the Saar River that needs to be removed. Excavators equipped with hydraulic breakers are methodically clearing all the underwater reinforced concrete on the riverbed, and it meets environmental protection requirements very well.
Urban construction
In the city of Aguada, a 3-meter-deep cable trench must be dug in one day, gravel removed, cables laid to fill the trench, compacted and the road restored. With excavators equipped with hydraulic breakers, 18 to 24 meters of cables were laid in 8 hours, completing the task ahead of schedule.
The foundation of the new Commerzbank, Europe's tallest office building, was formerly a 10-storey car park, reinforced concrete. The demolition started from the top floor with a hammer, while the steel bars in the concrete were cut with a hydraulic cutter to clear the concrete foundation, and finally the task was accomplished with a hydraulic hammer.

Adjustable impact energy type: The hydraulic flow can be manually adjusted. The hydraulic hammer can be easily controlled in the cab through the pressure-sensitive keys of the PRO(microcomputer) control device. The operating conditions are divided into three types: economy, normal, and reinforced. The economy condition is most conducive to reducing the operating cost of the hydraulic hammer and should be used in the normal and reinforced positions when satisfactory results cannot be achieved in the economy condition.

On the one hand, it can increase the adaptability of the machine in the tunnel. On the other hand, it can be used for foundation construction, crushing, etc., to improve the utilization rate of the machinery. When purchasing an extra-long arm excavator and a hydraulic breaker, consider equipping it with a hydraulic shearing machine, which can directly cut the steel bars and beams to the desired size and separate the steel bars from the concrete.
With the rapid development of the construction industry and the increasing environmental protection requirements, there will be more projects such as construction beside lines or building structures and construction requiring non-blasting, and hydraulic breakers will be more widely accepted and used in our country.
