Case study of Construction Machinery

Construction machinery is an indispensable equipment in engineering construction. With its powerful power and professional functions, it runs through various links such as foundation treatment, main construction, material transportation, and road construction, significantly improving construction efficiency and engineering quality. Here are several common types of construction machinery:

Earthmoving machinery plays a core role in earthwork operations such as site leveling and excavation of foundation pits. As a representative of earthmoving machinery, excavators can complete various tasks such as excavation, loading, and crushing with replaceable attachments (such as buckets, breakers, etc.), and are widely used in various construction sites. Bulldozers use a bulldozer blade at the front end to level and transport materials such as soil, sand, and gravel, making them suitable for large-scale site leveling and short distance material pushing. Their track type design allows them to operate stably even on soft ground. Loader is mainly used for loading bulk materials such as sand, gravel, cement, etc. Its bucket capacity is large, loading and unloading speed is fast, and it is often used in conjunction with dump trucks to improve material transfer efficiency.

Crane machinery is a key equipment for lifting heavy objects and installing components. Tower crane (tower crane), with its towering tower body and rotatable boom, can complete the vertical and horizontal transportation of heavy objects such as steel bars, formwork, prefabricated components, etc. in high-rise building construction. Its large operating radius and strong lifting capacity make it a "standard" for the construction of super high-rise buildings. Car cranes have the characteristic of strong maneuverability. They install the lifting device on the chassis of the car and can be quickly transferred to different work sites. They are suitable for temporary lifting operations such as lifting small and medium-sized components and installing equipment, and are flexible and convenient to operate.

Concrete machinery is specialized in serving the preparation, transportation, and pouring of concrete. A concrete mixing plant is a "factory" for concrete production, which mixes concrete that meets strength requirements through precise proportioning of cement, sand, water, and additives. The production scale can be adjusted according to engineering needs to ensure stable concrete quality. Concrete mixer trucks (tank trucks) can keep the drum rotating during transportation, prevent concrete solidification, and safely transport the concrete produced by the mixing plant to the construction site. The concrete pump truck uses a hydraulic system to press the concrete along the conveying pipeline to the pouring site, especially suitable for scenarios such as high-rise buildings and bridges that are difficult to pour directly, greatly reducing the labor intensity of manual pouring.

Road machinery is used for road construction and maintenance projects. The asphalt paver can evenly spread the asphalt mixture on the pavement base, and form a smooth asphalt surface layer through vibration and ironing devices. Its paving width and thickness can be flexibly adjusted to ensure the smoothness and compactness of the pavement. Rollers use their own gravity and vibration functions to compact soil, sand, asphalt and other paving materials, eliminate material gaps, enhance road strength and stability. Common types include smooth wheel rollers, vibratory rollers and tire rollers, which are suitable for compacting different road materials.
